1:30 Studio, also known as Poltorashka, is a motion design studio — and our good friends.
In just three years since its founding, 1:30 has worked with both tech giants and emerging startups, earning
a reputation as an outstanding, exceptional team of motion designers, art directors, and 3D artists.
As the studio grew and evolved, 1:30 turned to us with a challenge — to help their website mature alongside them, while keeping
its unmistakable charm.
We were lucky to work in close tandem: 1:30 took care of motion and 3D, while we focused on design. Together, we carefully thought through
the mechanics of every section and brainstormed creative ideas, constantly building on one another’s input.
The website’s main features are its layers of meaning and hidden easter eggs. The most vivid embodiment
of this concept is the reinterpretation of a Dutch still life on the main screen, where each of the 30 objects references the world of motion design
and the studio’s life.
We paid special attention to micro-animations and details — how the Play icon behaves, whether the hover bounce on buttons feels just right,
and how smoothly the case previews scale on hover. Almost every interaction was designed to feel like a small discovery for the user.
At the same time, navigation and functionality became more intuitive. We added a form with visual style examples, as well as a handy button for job seekers — through which, as the 1:30 team told us, they’ve already got submissions from both clients and freelancers!
Over the past few months, Poltorashka has not only received countless compliments but also made its voice louder than ever.
And we can’t stop admiring the team’s work — and, of course, sending the team a big hug while we’re at it!
