The restaurant project is located in the historic city center, on one of the key urban streets with active pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The architectural challenge was to create a distinctive urban object that could seamlessly integrate into the established historical environment while simultaneously becoming a recognizable point of attraction within the cityscape.
The concept is based on an interpretation of eclectic architecture as a living dialogue between different architectural traditions. The building’s image combines motifs inspired by late 19th–early 20th century historical development with expressive façade plasticity, volumetric articulation, and a rich yet balanced use of decorative elements. Brick masonry, copper roofing, carefully detailed cornices, and window surrounds form a layered and refined architectural character.
The volumetric and spatial composition of the façades and entrance group is designed to emphasize the building’s corner position and its significance within the urban structure. A ceremonial yet welcoming entrance creates a clear architectural accent and establishes an atmosphere of hospitality even before entering the interior.
Special attention was given to the perception of the building at different scales — from close pedestrian viewpoints to long street perspectives. The architecture engages with the rhythm of the city, respecting the historical context while forming its own strong and independent identity.
The project was developed through both conceptual and detailed design stages, allowing for an integrated approach to architecture, spatial planning, and decorative detailing. As a result, the restaurant is shaped as a contemporary urban destination with a distinctive character, a comfortable atmosphere, and a strong visual identity.
