CLIENT


Fantasy Invest is a stock market simulator that allows users to practice their investing skills by playing a mobile game. Players pick real companies' stocks for their in-game portfolio and observe market changes in real time. So they gain actual experience without risking
real money.

PRODUCT


Fantasy Invest team wanted to provide fun and educational "stories" to explain the intricacies of trading, so we proceeded to create colorful and playful illustrations that would make it easy to explain how the stock market works.

TASK


The task was to illustrate a bundle of short paragraphs packed into stories (much like Instagram stories, but built in the Fantasy Invest app). These chunks of information were supposed to be easy to digest and to engage the younger audience into learning.

SOLUTION


For this illustration series, we chose a goofy cartoonish style with juicy colors that went well with the general app design. The simplicity of style allowed us to create over 100 original illustrations with a wide variety of characters, settings and topics. Each week, we would produce around
5 pictures to illustrate a new subject.

PROCESS


For about 6 months every Monday our design team would meet up with Fantasy Invest marketing team and in a quick brainstorm we would come up with whitey and humorous ideas on how to depict certain stock market facts.

By Wednesday, we would have a bundle of sketches, and by Friday they would turn into fully colored illustrations ready to be paired with
a text paragraph and posted on Fantasy Invest app.
