"Tales of Tuimaada" — an amazing journey into the world of Spirits and Legends.
Sakha is one of the most remote and mysterious places in Russia. In winter, the temperature here drops below -76 °F. Taiga, rivers, mountains, valleys — every inch of this land is imbued with legends. The Sakha people live here — one of the most ancient and original people, who created the legendary Olonkho epic, telling about distant times, brave warriors and hunters, courageous and strong people.
Nowadays, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is a modern developing region with large cities and industries. Famous Yakut diamonds are mined here. But the soul of the people lives in fairy tales and legends, holidays, one of which is the day of the summer solstice Yhyakh. The people remember and honor traditions, the older generation passes on to the younger one stories about spirits protecting the native land and helping in everyday affairs.
Our task was to create a candy package that would become a unique souvenir familiarizing tourists with the traditions of the Sakha Republic and reminding the younger generation about the history of this land, traditions and legends.
It was an interesting project with immersion in a unique culture, getting acquainted with the fabulous and amazing world of Spirits and legends.
Tuimaada is the largest by population of the three main valleys (also Erkeani and Ensieli) in the middle reaches of the Lena River. it is here that the annual Yhyakh festival takes place.
