Festival
of Malaysian culture in Almaty, Kazakhstan 🇰🇿
The Malaysia Truly Asia Festival in Almaty was held to raise awareness of the AirAsia brand. The event highlighted the availability of the direct Almaty — Kuala Lumpur
ALA —KUL flight and introduced visitors to Malaysian culture. Guests could purchase tickets to Malaysia and enjoy performances by Malay dancers from Sabah
and Kazakhstani artists.
Festival Identity
The visual style of the festival conveys the uniqueness and vibrant colours of Malaysian culture. The main visual idea is inspired by batik, a traditional craft of Malaysia, where natural motifs such as flowers and leaves take centre stage. These elements represent the richness of nature and harmony that symbolise Malaysian culture.
The vibrant and multifaceted style of the festival not only symbolises the colour of Malaysia, but also conveys the dynamic spirit of the AirAsia brand, highlighting its association with travel and discovery. The visuals are designed to convey the energy and diversity inherent in the country in a light and contemporary manner.
Bandung
At the festival, traditional Malaysian drink Bandung, a sweet pink drink based on rose syrup and condensed milk, was handed out. This drink is an important part of Malaysian culture and is often served at festivals, adding a unique flavour to the festival experience.
