A story of inspiration
It all started in my childhood - those long winter evenings when my grandmother
knitted cozy socks and little toys.
I would sit next to her, playing with soft toys, going through skeins of yarn and imagining that inside each skein there was a tiny toy just waiting to be knitted.
Later I became acquainted with the Japanese art of Amigurumi - a wonderful world of miniature knitted creatures. These toys were not just cute, they radiated kindness, care and warmth of human hands. I wanted to transfer this feeling into digital illustration,
so that even on the screen the characters would seem soft, handy, fluffy and alive.
Each character in the project is an ode to childhood, warmth, coziness and memories.
I strived not just to draw a cute fluffy, but a fluffy with a character and convey its mood.
So that, leafing through the illustrations, every viewer would remember: the warmth of grandmother's hands, the coziness of a plaid and the safe world where soft,
fluffy friends live.
This project is my attempt to connect the past and the present
with a thread of goodness.
Uniqueness:
Fusion of digital graphics with visual imitation of hand knitting.
A unified pastel yet varied palette.
Authorial style in the expression of "eyes", emotions and textures.
A suitable balance between illustration and applied design.
