Rentier – SaaS UX/UI Design

One platform. Two industries.

Workspace & Restaurant Management Sys

This project is a flexible management platform designed to work with very different business models — from coworking spaces to restaurants.

The goal was to build a single core system that could adapt to multiple industries without duplicating logic or overcomplicating the interface.

THE CHALLENGE

Coworkings and restaurants have completely different workflows, time scales, and user expectations.

Coworkings require contracts, long-term bookings, documents, and financial tracking.

Restaurants need fast bookings, live table availability, deposits, and simple interactions.

The challenge was to support both scenarios within one product.

PRODUCT STRATEGY

Instead of building separate products, we designed a single platform with a shared core and customizable business logic on top.

Core features include:

– bookings and requests

– payments and balances

– documents and files

– notifications

– interactive canvas (maps)​​​​​​​

BOOKING CREATION FLOW

Coworking bookings vary by space, tariffs, and conditions.

We designed a flexible flow that adapts to each scenario and recalculates pricing automatically, keeping the process clear and fast for admins.

TOP-BASED WORKFLOW

Bookings open in tabs, allowing admins to work with multiple requests in parallel without losing context.

This reduces navigation and speeds up everyday operations.

CANVAS

The canvas is built on reusable components, similar to Framer.

Each object on the map is a configurable component with its own rules and states.

Admins drag components onto the canvas and set all logic in the side panel.

Changes to a component automatically apply to all linked objects.

The canvas works as both a visual editor and the core booking system.

FACILITY

The platform includes a Facility Management system that covers physical infrastructure such as access control (SKUD), sensors, bollards, and on-site equipment. In the future, the system will be extended with IoT and sensor integrations for deeper automation and control.

DOCUMENTS

The platform also provides a built-in document management system. It supports different document types — contracts, invoices, acts, attachments, and user-uploaded files. All document workflows are handled directly inside the SaaS platform, without relying on external services.
