At first, I set out to create an illustration of a necromancer raising the dead in a scorched wasteland. During the process, a friend pointed out the strong resemblance to Leila — a necromancer hero from Heroes of Might and Magic VII. That sparked the idea to fully embrace the character and develop a complete wallpaper artwork inspired by her dark, commanding presence and the eerie world of Heresh.

How it was made
First, a rough draft was created with an approximate pose and environment selection.
The composition was expanded with surrounding elements, transforming the scene into a full wallpaper format
With the rough draft in place, I moved on to character stylization — carefully refining the design, step by step, adding expressive details to bring the necromancer to life
After settling on the overall style, it was time to add the undead she’s summoning. I created additional drafts featuring the rising corpses to build up the full scene
Gradually refining the details, the artwork began to take its final shape
Of course, it's not fitting for a necromancer to be in lingerie, so I had to dress her in appropriate attire
Added a characteristic necromantic effect for the Necropolis characters in the form of a plague cloud and fine-tuned the hands
